Our “God Stories” are continual reminders of how much God loves the world and how thrilled He is when we allow Him to use us to touch other people with healing and encouragement. We share these stories every week to give glory to our incredible, loving Father and to motivate each other to continue to take risks as we reach out to others.

2009 presented us with a surprise. God, once again, blessed us by enabling us to conceive yet another child. Well, as of January 18th at 12:56 in the afternoon, Sarah Josephine Willis was born!! She was 7.76 pounds and 20.75 inches long.   While the pregnancy period was typical of my other pregnancies, the delivery was anything but... The delivery of Sarah was miraculous and we thank God for His hand that protected both mommy and baby and gave us a testimony that we can share with you (once again) how faithful He is!!

I am writing to share a testimony long overdue.  
My husband, myself and my daughter came to Peachtree City in the summer of 2007.   While my husband was interviewing for a job position there , my daughter and I decided to go shopping at the Avenue.  
While at Barnes and Nobles, two young ladies (one of which was a teacher at an elementary school) from your prophetic team approached me with a prophetic Word from the Lord.  The word was,  "The Lord says that you have been trying to have a baby and have not been able to and the Lord says you are going to have a baby."  At that time, I was overwhelmed with hope upon hearing this because after 6 pregnancies, I had only had one successful birth of my daughter who was with me at the time.  
The prophetic team leader had a card that she had written on that described a person she was to minister to that day:  Dark curly hair, glasses, and wearing a red shirt.  Well, it was me... except that she was confused about that my hair because it was straight as a pin.  I laughed and told her that I had very curly hair and had straightened it that morning.  
The following year I had gotten pregnant but lost that baby also.  Though utterly disappointed, I hung onto that word from the Lord.  Well, I happy to share my victory and fulfilled Word of the Lord, I had a healthy baby girl on July 26, 2009!  
My pregnancy and labor went great.  I have shared this testimony many times to those around me.  I want you to know that I needed that Word of the Lord, but more than that, God let me know through that event that He truly was thinking of me and that He loved me enough to find me in a place that I was visiting that day to simply say, "I love you."  It meant everything to me...
I am writing to thank the Lord for his faithfulness to His Word and to the young ladies who took the time to pray and seek God to hear Him on my behalf.  Their obedience to the voice of the Lord gave me hope and here I am with a beautiful baby girl.  Thank you....

Our son, Matt, suffers with an unusual form of arthritis that affects his spinal cord, hips and knees. He has been without his medication for a few weeks, waiting on insurance coverage, and the increased build-up of fluid has caused him severe pain and limited mobility. After prayer for him, the Lord set in motion an amazing transaction at our pharmacy. I took an Internet coupon in, along with his QuickAssist card which has helped him for two years until he lost his insurance. I came home from the pharmacy with a month's supply of injections for Matthew. I still don't know how it happened, but they gave it to me for free. I had been talking with the pharmacist on the phone while she attempted to see what the coupon would do. It turned out that it helped by $200! She got on the computer and worked magic with God's guidance. She said, "I knew it would help (refering to whatever she did), but I didn't know it would help THAT much!" I told everybody I loved them and walked out of the store with a month's supply of very expensive medicine They tell me nobody will show up at my home to arrest me or ask for their money back. It's legit. With God's help, we've bought another month! Praise God!!

I am thrilled to announce that today Awan and the brethren in Brazil received their certificate for the school from the municipality of Boa Vista. Please continue to pray for all details to be worked out in regard to the school's opening February 8th, including negotiating several price increases and fees that the city has creatively found. Also, praise God, we have all the details worked out for the container to be loaded in Fayetteville in Monday the 23rd of November and then shipped out before Thanksgiving.

Praise God that, as the Apostle Paul said, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.  After hip surgery and physical therapy, Gary's hip dislocated itself, requiring surgery again; hence they will not be able to return to their mission home  for a time.  However, they now have a publisher who will publish, in Arabic, an urgently needed book Gary wrote and distribute it to Arabic bookstores. This book will show how they can gather together in relational ways that fit their extended family culture.

Praise God- The time has finally come!  I have worked with youth ministries for ten years, with a call to go overseas. Four years ago, I was approached about joining the team that would go to England to begin a new ministry there. Four years later - it is finally happening!  I leave on December 1st to join Canvas (the ministry that I'm joining in England).  Please pray for the Visa application to go through and for the final provisions for this move.  Thank you for your prayers and support!

Praise God!! Matthew now has a job at Chick-fil-a Corporate in his field doing audio/visual and editing work. The audio/visual company contracts with Chick-fil-a, but Chick-fil-a owns the equipment. The a/v company is looking to expand into editing and they're counting on Matthew to help them grow into it. Matthew could use prayer that God will expand and bless his creativity. He is praying for and believing God will use him to bless and increase their company many times over.

Pray for the church to hear the wake up call to pray for and to reach out to Muslims in the Spirit of Christ as never before.

I drive a school bus for North Fayette Elementary and Flat Rock Middle Schools.  About a month ago, a fifth grader came to the bus on crutches.  He had sprained his ankle and couldn't walk on it.  The following day, which was Friday, I asked him if I could pray for him. With a smile on his face, he said, "okay."  On Monday, he ran to the bus.  He told me that when he woke up Saturday, the pain was gone and he was hopping around on it to show his dad!  Thank you, Jesus!

Two weeks ago, a sixth grader from Flat Rock Middle School was poked in the eye with a pencil. It was very swollen and she could not open her eye at all; she said it felt like it was burning.  Before she got off the bus, she, her sister and I prayed together.  When they got back on the bus Monday, the sixth grader said that after we prayed, she ran into the house with her hand over her eye, and told her mother it was swollen, painful and burning.  When she removed her hand to show her mom, her mom said, "I don't see anything swollen."  The sixth-grader opened her eye with no pain or burning.  It was totally healed!  Thank you, Jesus!

Cindy Perkins:  A few weeks ago, I attended a Choral Music Festival in Orlando, Florida.   While there, I met a young man named Alex who was working one of the events we were at.   He had hurt his back earlier and was in a lot of pain, so when I asked if I could pray for him, he was VERY willing to be prayed for.  A couple of hours passed.  After the dinner show we were at, Alex found me and told me how awesome it was to have prayer, and that his back was feeling a lot better!  He kept telling his friends what happened!!   Praise God for His faithfulness!

Leigh Ann was suffering severe abdominal pain, possibly due to a gall bladder attack. Her husband, Eddie, prayed for her over the phone, and Leigh Ann's family prayed for her. Leigh Ann's pain subsided.  Later, when she went in for testing, the ultrasound and labs were normal. Praise God!

While Cindy was attending the choral competition with her class in Orlando, she met a man suffering from severe back pain.  She asked if she could pray for him, and he agreed, although he was not an avid 'church-goer'.  Cindy asked some of the students to join her, and they prayed for the man.  Before Cindy left the competition, she found the man and asked how he was feeling. His back pain was gone!  Praise God for His faithfulness to answer the prayers of His people and hold true to His Word!

When Erik was let go from his job with IBM due to downsizing recently, he was released with 22 weeks of pay with benefits.  There was a concern about insurance coverage, but his new insurance will kick in at the same time that his previous insurance benefits expire.  Also, when visiting the doctor, Erik was given the report of great health!  Finally, in the midst of the changes with Erik losing his job, God's grace and peace have been very evident.  Erik noted how when we thank God, it invites Him to open His Hand to bless His children. Praise God for His faithfulness!

After accidentally burning her hand with a hot-glue gun, her burn blistered up and was very painful.  Joy asked her sister, Jennifer, to pray for the burn.  The pain was instantly relieved!  Praise God!!!

I signed up to join Curves and was asked to fill out papers on my medical history. The woman who was helping me was suffering from a migraine and excused herself two times as she was very sick from it.  When she returned, she saw that I had checked "chronic fibromyalgia" as one of the ailments I had once suffered.  I then had the opportunity to share with her how God healed me.  For over two hours, I spoke with her and the store manager about how God heals, about forgiveness and spiritual roots to disease.  I prayed for her migraine and she was greatly improved!

The nightly crusades we were involved in are now over in Kampala, Africa.  Four thousand or so people came to Jesus! It was crazy... Deaf ears were opened, blind eyes were healed, the mute spoke, demons were cast out, cancers left, tumors disappeared- and much more.  The town of Gulu was rocked! Praise Jesus!

Over Labor Day weekend, Heather and I prayed for a friend from Florida who was visiting us. He complained of many back injuries and pain he was having in three places of his body after falling off a ladder some time earlier.  Heather and I offered to pray for him, and to his surprise, he was healed!  He said he felt movement and heat, and all pain was gone! THat night, he slept on a bed instead of the floor for the first time in a while, and traveled in a car, sleeping, again with no pain! Praise God!!!

My dance teacher had just completed a class before ours.  She told us her head was pounding, and asked one of the thirty girls in our class to get her some aspirin.  We were all sitting down at the time.  I stood up and asked our teacher if I could pray for her in front of everyone there. She said yes, so I walked over and prayed for her. When I went back and sat down, she said she felt better! However, for me, it wasn't just that she felt better that I am rejoicing over this, but that God gave me the courage to get up in front of everyone and pray.  It was an amazing leap of faith for me.

A young lady that joined us from North Atlanta deeply experienced the Father's love during the PCB trip this last weekend. Through the Lord's love, she found a new place of freedom.  Also, as the Lord touched the depths of her heart, she was healed of fibromyalgia.  After she gave her testimony Sunday night, she did a beautiful backbend demonstrating God's healing touch in her body!!!

My mother, Helen, had been on dialysis for over a year and was believing God for a miracle. She asked the Lord to heal her and to be taken off dialysis completely.  When she went to the doctors for her annual lab work, the results came back with highter kidney function than previous tests.  The labs were run a second time, and the results came back the same as the first.  The doctors siaid they had not seen this happen before, took her off dialysis for a month and then ran the labs a third time, this time with a different laboratory.  The third lab confirmed the previous test results. Praise God! Mom is now off dialysis completely and is planning a cruise!

Tuesday night at the conference, a word of knowledge regarding God healing migraines was given.  The speaker said to put your hand where it hurts, which I did - on my forehead.  I prayed along with them.  Later, when I put my hair behind my right ear, I noticed that a bony protrusion, a knot, which had been on the right side of my neck since I was a young teenager, was gone!  The knot is still gone, and I have had no migraines since. Praise God!

Tuesday night at the Atlanta Outpouring meetings, there was a word of knowledge about a left ankle needing healing.  I stood up to respond, as that is the ankle I have had surgery on and has had problems for years.  I can now stand on my left foot alone, and my ankle is stronger than it was!

During the Atlanta Outpouring, a number of us went and prayed for people outside of Grady hospital.  God answered our prayers and healed a number of people, including a man who was using a walker.  After the Lord touched him, the man was running up and down the street! When he left, he was pulling his walker behind him.  Also, the Lord touched a woman who couldn't walk well because she needed a hip replacement and knee surgery. After she was prayed for, she was doing cartwheels right in front of Grady Hospital as the Lord had healed her!  Praise God!

Praise God for His mighty, continuing work in the country of Honduras!  Praise God for the salvation of 176 people during the last three weeks, as well as the opportunity to minister to over 1,900 people in our medical and dental clinics!  Also, praise God for the church in Mata Palo, which continues to serve the Lord with fire and passion. They are regularly spreading the gospel to the tent villages surrounding their village.  Their devotion to the Lord was powerfully expressed when these believers, living in poverty (earning about $500.00 a year) gave out of their own need, digging deeply into their resources to send $100.00 to help a fellow believer in a neighboring village that needed help for medical costs.  May the Lord continue to bless them with His powerful grace as they look to advance the Kingdom of God in their area.

We would like to acknowledge that God is our Provision and our Provider in all things!
After four months of job hunting, God miraculously and suddenly provided a great job opportunity with a well-known company.
After only one round of interviews and during my second meeting with the People Services Director, I was handed an offer letter and was told that all of the job requirements I expressed during my first meeting (i.e. position, flexible work schedule, reduced travel, salary, etc.) would be met.  She said that she and her team were "blown away... we were like kids on Christmas morning... you are exactly what we've been looking for..."  I sat in disbelief - this was God's favor!  Now I think back on all these months of stalled opportunities and realize that God closed those doors so He could bless me with this position.  Recognizing that this was His grace and provision; my prayer now is simply to glorify Him in my new position!! Thank you all for your prayers for us!

I received an opportunity for job growth at work; however, it required moving to another state.  As I prayed for wisdom, God asked me what I wanted.  I told Him I wanted to stay here, for my boss to be offered my promotion, and I wanted to be promoted to his job.  Through prayer, GOD ARRANGED for my boss to take the position out of state and gave me his job!

After being diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus years ago, I was taking the required medicine to deal with it.  However, there was no change in my esophagus.  Finally, I decided to deal with it my own way- through prayer alone.  When I recently returned for more testing, I found I was completely healed of Barrett's Esophagus, plus I was healed of a cyst previously found on my vocal cords!  Praise God!

My ringworm hadn't gone away after four weeks of medicine use, so I prayed that God would heal it.  I also continued to use the medicine.  It is completely healed now.  God gave me a revelation that He often will work in ways that are easy for us to understand.  It doesn't always look like a miracle.

Alan, Joel, myself, and a number of other youth have targeted The Avenue as a place to minister to people, and the Lord has been moving mightily. One night, we were aware that God wanted us to meet at Tea Fusions in The Avenue. We gathered several people together that we had been ministering to and met at Tea Fusions. We were all sitting down, waiting to see what God was going to do.  Soon, a lady with her arm in a sling walked through the door.  Joel and I left the group and asked her if we could pray for her.  She agreed, we prayed, and then asked her if whe would try moving her arm around. She took her arm out of the sling and started to move it around. She proclaimed that her arm had been completely healed!  She called everyone in the restaurant over, and told them what had just happened!  All the people we were hoping to minister to ended up seeing God do a miracle!

God has healed me of arthritis!  I have suffered from arthritis for ten years- since I was 11 years old. It continued to worsen to the point where I was in continual pain, I couldn't sleep, and I couldn't raise my arms to even comb my hair. I lost several jobs because I was unable to move quickly enough.  When I got a fantastic job at the Georgia Dome in my field of expertise, I was worried that I would lose that job also.  However, about five months ago, God started healing me!  My S.E.D. rate, a blood test that measures bleeding and swelling in the joints, went from a 102 to a 2 in just two months!  The lowest it had been before that in the past nine years was a 24.

Now I am able to work out, run, put my hands over my head, move around, play ultimate frisbee and have no pain! Praise God!

I prayed for a girl named Brooke at school who had a headache, and the Lord healed her.  The next day, a girl named Erica said she had a headache.  When I asked her if she wanted me to pray for her, she said yes.  After I prayed for her, her headache was a lot better!  (After Leigh gave this testimony at church, Haley asked Leigh to pray for her headache, and Haley was also healed.  Praise God for His moving among our children and youth!  He is faithful to His word... May He continue to stir their hearts to seek and follow Him with all their hearts!)

I work in construction and pulled a muscle in my side.  I couldn't raise my arm or twist my body or bend over for days.  It really hurt.  I was also asking God if we should move to Georgia.  I felt that He was telling me that He would heal me as a sign that we should move here.  Two men prayed for healing of my pulled muscle.  I could bend over and raise my arm!   The pain was gone.  I moved furniture later that day!

All I heard was the word “music”, so I asked the guy if he was a musician. He was surprised and said that yes, he played in a band. I felt that God wanted to encourage him, so I just said the words I thought that God was giving me. It really lifted the family’s spirits.

We were on a treasure hunt, looking for people that God had put on our heart. I met a lady who had carpal tunnel syndrome. She let us pray for her. I asked her to try to do something she couldn’t do without causing pain. As she put her hands together and bent her wrists, she was amazed that the pain was totally gone! That’s not all. I told my college roommate about this incident, not knowing that he had carpal tunnel also. God healed him on the spot!
